- For corporate clients, this service is a stand-alone requirement that helps reduce the energy spend and carbon footprint.
- For community and university clients, this service is typically incorporated into a long-term comprehensive plan. We are happy to work alongside planning and strategy consultants.
Our planning services start with a kick-off meeting to establish scope and focus.
We incorporate all the relevant components into a 20 year strategy. The plan incorporates all of our service offerings including assessment of energy costs, energy saving opportunities, facility carbon footprinting, supply chain carbon footprinting, carbon offset solutions, technology neutral renewable and energy efficiency packages.
We focus on 20 year planning programmes and work intimately with clients to ensure the plan accommodates specific needs and is tailored to cost-savings and budgets.

Energy and Carbon Audit – we offer an analysis of a single building, warehouse, complex, communities or campus, which indicates how and where that building or campus can reduce energy consumption and save energy costs.
Most buildings or campuses waste large amounts of energy and only come to realize it when energy inefficiencies and corresponding costs are identified. An energy and carbon audit reveals how and where energy is wasted, and methods for reducing energy waste and overall energy consumption.
For companies seeking monthly cost-savings relating to operations, the solution starts with an energy and carbon audit. Through an on-site visitation of your facility, we are able to generate an audit report that allows you to identify the key management areas for improvement. Additionally, we can provide a series of recommendations related to facility enhancements that address facility energy savings.
For clients interested in a longer term strategy, we would recommend including a green energy and carbon plan to ensure that your organization is capitalising on all cost-savings and carbon savings.

Green Energy & Carbon Offsets – We offer short- and long-term green energy and carbon offset solutions from our domestic and international offset partners and portfolios.
We present a daily offering from our carbon credit marketplace, which offers hundreds of offset projects with price ranges in accordance with the relevant standard type – Voluntary Carbon Standard, Clean Development Mechanism, Climate Action Reserve, Gold Standard, Renewable Energy Certificates, and so on. Clients typically engage in green energy and carbon offset contracts for two reasons:
- Voluntary: Organizations seeking to address their energy and carbon footptrint as a strategic long-term plan to manage fiscal and environmental responsibilities.
- Compliant: Organizations seeking cost-effective solutions to pending legislation that has direct economic impacts associated with green energy and /or the carbon footprint.
In either situation, we aim to work with clients as an independent buyer’s agent to help organizations meet their requirements. Assuming the assessment and audit stage has been completed, we offer services related to:
- Project assessment (or vetting) to comply with the scope of the organization’s needs and requirements.
- Securing supply contracts from developers.
For clients who have elected to secure our services, we offer exclusive, but optional access to our family’s portfolio supply. This supply offers depth and breadth in terms of international and domestic green energy and carbon solutions.

Onsite Solutions
Onsite Energy Solutions – We offer energy efficiency solutions that reduce your monthly energy bills and carbon footprint, while saving on costs and freeing up capital to improve corporate social responsibility and fiscal responsibility.
Organizations can convert a comprehensive energy assessment into a facility level enhancement for a reduced monthly energy spend. We offer two customized services:
- Service provider: This includes assessment, recommendations, install and operational projects solutions. As a consultant, Palmetto can provide energy enhancement recommendations such as energy efficiency and renewable energy solutions. We can manage the implementation process through to implementation and operation, at which point a facility or operations manager can oversee the project’s success.
- Partner: We do everything that a service provider would, but we go even beyond that by offering to finance the project. This is subject to the credit-worthiness of the counterparty.
